Violinist Minjung Cho was born in Seoul, Korea. After obtaining Master of Fine Art with Highest Honors at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory(Moscow, Russia), Ms. Cho held Soloist Assistant position in Madrid Symphony Orchestra.(Madrid, Spain)
Ms. Cho won numerous national and international awards, among them the Dmitri Musafia Prize in Tibor Varga International Violin Competition held in Sion, Switzerland. Ms. Cho obtained Artist Diploma at Indiana University(Bloomington, USA), and is currently a doctoral candidate under the guidance of Mauricio Fuks. Ms. Cho also studied with Maya Glezarova and Nelli Shkolnikova, and studied chamber music with Janos Starker, Menahem Pressler and Arnaldo Cohen.
As a soloist, Ms. Cho performed with following orchestras: Madrid Symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Malaga Symphony, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Buchon Philharmonic orchestra, Habarovsk Symphony Orchestra, Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic orchestra, Buchon Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and Jeonju Philharmonic Orchestra. Ms. Cho’s performance of Las Cadencias by Spanish composer Anton Garcia Abril ( 1933-) accompanied by Madrid Symphony Orchestra in Auditorio Nacional(Madrid, Spain) received unanimous recognition of the music critics.
Ms. Cho performed in International Music Festivals such as Salzburg Summer Music Festival (Austria), Academie de Musique de Lausanne chamber music festival (Switzerland), Tibor Varga Music Festival (Switzerland), Festival of Aste Nagusia in Bilbao (Spain),Santander Music Festival (Spain), Lubeck Summer Music festival (Germany), ”Festival du Haut Limousin” (France), ”Tours Academie de Musique”, and ”Recontre Avec Tchaikovsky” festivals (France),”Orford music festival”(Canada), ”Eilat music festival”(Israel). Ms. Cho also collaborated with following Radio and TV stations: Radio Suisse Romande (Switzerland), Radio Nacional Espana (RNE, Spain), RTV(Russia), KBS Radio (Korea) and MBC TV (Korea).
